Growing up I dreamed of speaking to the nations, I dreamed of assisting others in pursuing their dreams even at a young age I was challenged to think outside the box. I attended my first college course at the age of 16 and from there my love for education flourished. I wrote my first book at the age of 24 and I must admit although not considered a commercial success it moved me to speak, to create, to inspire.
Ten years ago I was given the opportunity to speak at a National College Conference and that experience gave me insight into what I was called to do, it was a defining moment in my life and it led me to having the opportunity to travel extensively throughout the U.S. presenting lectures/keynote addresses to colleges and universities discussing various topics from self-esteem and respect to empowerment and networking in a nationwide tour; facilitating discussions among diverse populations with varying age, academic, socioeconomic, and cultural perspectives. I have been invited to speak at various Black History month and Women’s History month celebrations as well as Leadership conferences. Workshops include When Talent is Not Enough, Waiting to Be Invited, Face Your Space, and In The Company of My Sisters.
I have worked for various companies including the Detroit Pistons community relations department, HUES magazines campus rep department, and in television and radio. I have served as a member of the Marketing and Public Affairs committee of a local management district, and I am a past candidate (2005) for the City of Houston City Council, a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and I also served as an intern for the Barack Obama Presidential Campaign. I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Community Development/Public Administration from Central Michigan University and I am currently pursuing my Masters Degree in Administration. My Blueprint For Success Tour Starts in the Fall of 2010 and I continue to host Your 15 Minutes Radio talk show, a talk show dedicated to providing individuals an opportunity to promote and market their products and services and pursue their dreams. http://blogtalkradio.com/your15minutes.
